Meet The Team
Dr. Laura Hogarth
Program Designer

Dr. Laura Hogarth is an experienced educator with over a decade of international teaching experience. She began her career in Japan, where she taught English and developed educational programs for a diverse range of learners. While living in Osaka, she founded Canada Club Japan, a language and cultural exchange initiative that grew to serve more than 80 students. She also taught English Communication and English writing at Osaka Furitsu University for four years.

After returning to London, Ontario in 2006, Dr. Hogarth became ESL-certified in Canada and has since continued her dedication to language education. She brings extensive training in curriculum design, which she applies as a professor at King's University College at Western University, where she has been creating and teaching courses for over 10 years.

Dr. Hogarth is deeply committed to student success and is passionate about helping learners achieve their language goals—whether for travel, everyday communication, or preparing for English proficiency exams, such as the IELTS. Her international experience, academic expertise, and student-centered approach make her a valuable resource for English language learners from around the world.

Cassie Zimmerman
ESL Teacher

Cassie holds an Honours BA in Psychology and a Certificate in the Teaching and Practice of Writing from King’s University College. While teaching elementary and secondary students in Madrid, Spain, Cassie earned a postgraduate degree, TEFL in a School Environment, and reached B2 Spanish fluency. Cassie has worked as a writing tutor at King’s University College and as an online IELTS instructor for adults in Bangladesh. When she’s not teaching, you can find her writing stories, creating art, hiking, travelling, and reading a good book with her two cats, Kiwi and Haku.
